When you get to the Trial download page you then you copy / paste the two links below into your browser to download the files that you need. Click the Try button and log in to your account. Go to and navigate to the Adobe Captivate product page. To download a trial of an older Adobe Captivate version please follow the instructions below: The trial versions are good for 30-days so just be sure to complete all your project conversion in that time frame. If you don’t have Adobe Captivate 5, 5.5 or 6 installed on your system you need to either find a friend who can help you or download a trial version and use this to convert your projects. Adobe Captivate is an authoring tool that is used for creating eLearning content such as software demonstrations, software simulations, branched scenarios. In that case you will need to update these to AS3 which is supported by Adobe Captivate 7. In Captivate 7 these are not supported so they probably won’t work. Keep in mind that if you have Flash Animations / Widgets in your Adobe Captivate 3 or 4 projects they are most likely AS2 files. It is quite a detour and not at all funny if you have a lot of projects to upgrade but this is the only way. From here you can upgrade the project to Captivate 7. The solution is to upgrade your project from Adobe Captivate 3 or 4 to Adobe Captivate 5, 5.5 or 6 and save the file (save as a copy!). This is due to the fact that Adobe Captivate 7 only supports upgrading projects created with Adobe Captivate 5 and above. I see a lot of people who are having problems with updating projects created in Adobe Captivate 3 and Adobe Captivate 4 to Adobe Captivate 7.
